In my work I search to translate eternal images into textile art - universal themes usually not bound to a certain place or time.
Looking back at the pieces, I realize that most of the contain an element of “ligh“ in various forms such as radiance, glow or sparks.
I prefer working with simple geometric shapes such as squares, triangles or diamonds. The light incorporated creates a sense of depth and dimension beyond what form can provide.
When I am creating a quilt I am totally focused on the experience, which takes me to a place beyond the mechanics of piecing fabric.
